Ask Dr. Fesco
For more than a decade, Illinois Valley Community Hospital physician Edward Fesco, M. D., has been answering medical questions from WLPO listeners on "Ask Dr. Fesco," heard on the first Thursday of each month.
Sponsored by IVCH, the program gives Illinois Valley radio listeners an opportunity to have their health questions answered on the air by a veteran physician who has been a member of the hospital’s medical staff since 1963.
"I gear myself in lay terms because medicine is extremely confusing," says Dr. Fesco. "I like to give precautions concerning new treatments, procedures and medications." He notes he always advises callers to talk to their family doctor before making health decisions.
